Metal Roofing
Shingles
These are designed to resemble traditional roofing materials like asphalt shingles, wood shakes, or slate. They offer a more textured and dimensional look, often providing a classic or historic appearance. Installed in smaller sections, like traditional shingles. They are often overlapped and interlocked, which can make installation more time-consuming but allows for easier replacement of individual shingles if needed. Typically more expensive per square foot than metal panels because of the smaller, more intricate design and installation process.

Panels
Metal panels, typically seen in standing seam or corrugated styles, give a more modern and sleek appearance. They have larger, continuous sections of metal that provide a clean and smooth look.Installed in large sections that span the length of the roof from the ridge to the eave. This results in fewer seams and quicker installation, but replacing a panel is more involved than replacing a single shingle. More cost-effective on a large scale because they cover more area with each panel and are faster to install.
